In 2005, I put together a little booklet of stories called Theophrenia to commemorate my website’s tenth birthday. Eh, it was a different time.
The project was 100% inspired by Kevin Fanning who has put out a number of excellent, handmade print collections of his work. The most recent one, How I Learned to Love You From So Far Away, is still available and still unbelievably good.
Anyway, Kevin was figuring out how to format these things for the Kindle and was nice enough to whip Theophrenia into shape and hey look! Now it’s in the Kindle Store for $1.99.
It’s got thirteen short stories, most from the dot com, plus one from The Morning News and one from McSweeney’s.
Makes a great Valentine’s Day gift if you want your special valentine to look confused and say: “Thanks?”
