Sometimes in this life you stumble upon the perfect girl and she turns out to live in another country. No big whoop you just ask her out on an internet date. Neither of you knows what that means but it turns out to be watching movies at the same time while chatting on IM.

Below is how that chat started. It ended about seven hours later. (Actually, it’s still going today, now that I think about it.)

Angela Black: this is the strangest thing ever

Joshua Allen: haha

Angela Black: i have NEVER done this before

Angela Black: i am in stitches

Joshua Allen: i once watched Rambo over the phone with a friend of mine in fifth grade

Angela Black: oh see… now that I have done

Angela Black: not rambo

Joshua Allen: i figure it’s the same basic deal

Angela Black: but… my bff and i audio tape recorded Pretty in Pink and would listen to it in bed together

Joshua Allen: !

Joshua Allen: i used to tape things off tv and listen to them. bosom buddies, i think.

Angela Black: and then there were pillowfights

Joshua Allen: that sounds … EXCITING!
